PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: Waab Community Health Center

The public is hereby informed that the Waab Community Health Centers will be conducting their FREE Annual Cholesterol Screening including check for Diabetes, Kidney function and your height/weight for Body Mass Index across all CHC sites from October to November 2026.

The FREE screenings target men aged 35 years and older and women 45 years and older.

You must fast from midnight onwards (no water, no food, no chewing betelnut) after midnight until you get your screening done in the morning, which will run from 5.30am to 7.30am after which time you can eat and drink.

For those men who are younger than 35 years old and women who are younger than 45 years old, you will need to be assessed by a doctor to determine your risk and eligibility for screening.

Please note the following dates and CHC sites where and when screenings will be done from 5.30am to 7.30am.

10/12 - 10/16 -Maap/Rumung CHC

10/19 - 10/23 - Gagil CHC

10/26 - 10/30 - Tomil CHC

11/2-11/6 - Marbaa CHC

11/9 - 11/13 - Nimgil CHC

11/16 - 11/20 - Central Hospital

Everyone is encouraged to visit the CHC site in your catchment area nearest to where you live. For your results, the CHC site staff where you got your test done will reach out to you within 2-3 weeks of your test.

Everyone who comes for screening is asked to look closely at their results to ensure you take charge of your wellbeing to improve and maintain your overall health in light of the rise in Non- communicable diseases.
